The site describes Crane, offers it for download and takes feedback. We may change it, or take any part of it down, at any time and without notice.

Please don’t misuse it: don’t try to break or overload it, get around its limits, or send spam or unlawful content through the feedback form.

The information on the site, including the performance results, is for general information. Results on your own computer will differ.

Crane is pre-release software that is still being developed. It may have bugs, lose or damage data, or stop working. Keep backups of the files you open with it, especially before saving changes to a large file.

If a license or other terms come with a copy of Crane, they apply to that copy as well, and take precedence where they differ from these.

The website and the software are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title or non-infringement, and any warranty that they will be accurate, secure, uninterrupted or free of errors. You use them at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developers of Crane and of this website are not liable for any damages of any kind arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the website or the software. This includes loss of data, files, profits, business or goodwill, and any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, even if we were told such damages were possible.

Where liability can’t be excluded entirely, it is limited to the amount you paid for the software, if anything.

Some places don’t allow these exclusions or limits, for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for the rights consumers have by law. Nothing in these terms limits liability or rights that the law says can’t be limited; where that applies, these terms apply only as far as the law allows.

If you send ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve Crane without owing you anything for them. How we handle what you send is described in the privacy policy.

Links to other websites are there for convenience. We aren’t responsible for what those sites contain or do.

We may update these terms; the date at the top says when they last changed. Using the site or the software after a change means you accept the new terms.

If part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
